Microsoft Mouse detected as standard mouse due to wrong driver loaded.
Cause:
The wrong driver is loaded in Windows 95.
Solution:
Remove the current mouse driver and reinstall the mouse using Microsoft Mouse Driver for Windows.
1) Open the 'System' icon.
2) Click the 'Device Manager' tab, double-click 'Mouse' hardware tree, and double-click on the standard mouse.
3) Click the 'Driver' tab and click on 'Change Driver...' (The 'Select Device' dialog box appears.)
4) Select the 'Show all devices' radio button.
5) Select 'Microsoft' from the 'Manufacturers' list box.
6) In the 'Models' list box, select the Microsoft Mouse that is connected to your computer and click 'OK'.
